Ocean Fever President

Rachel is a mother of 2 teenagers (Sofía and Sebastian) born here in the South Bay and married for 25 years. 

She grew up in France where she graduated from a French high school in the suburbs of Paris. She met her husband her first year at college here in the United States. 

She graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a degree in Spanish. She has worked in schools with children of all ages from preschool to high school. Working with children is the most rewarding experience. Rachel developed a passion for swimming in her early twenties and it’s transformed her life in every way. 

She now coaches masters at SCAQ, age group at SOBA and high school swimmers at RUHS.

She didn’t grow up with a beach close to home but now she couldn’t imagine living far from the water.  Her family has been part of Ocean Fever for many years and it’s so inspirational to see how the program has brought families together and has given kids of all ages a chance to become part of a community that cares about the ocean and those less fortunate.

Rachel hope is that Ocean Fever keeps on promoting a love and respect for the ocean and for everyone we meet in our lives.
